GWL presented a report at AAPG Regional Conference 2017 in Larnaca
18-19 January 2017

GWL participated at the “Hydrocarbons in the Mediterranean” conference, hosted by  AAPG. The event brought together representatives of leading scientific institutes and practicing experts from largest oil companies.

The main objective of the conference was exchange of thoughts and ideas on most vital directions of further studies in the Mediterranean Sea, associated complexities and possibilities of overcoming such in current conditions. The GWL representative introduced the report “Free Float Recording System Seismic Survey – Efficient and Cost Effective Solution for Depth Imaging in Complex Geological Environment”.

“The Mediterranean basin represents a geologically complex region, which sometimes causes uncertainties in final results of works in progress in the region. The FloatSeis™ technology, developed by our team assists in reduction of these ambivalences of the wavefield and leads to more accurate geological structures, and therefore, we were glad to present it within the framework of this event ”, — Aleksandr Nikitin, Head of GWL’s R&D Department told the conference.
