The range of FloatSeis™  surveys (marked by FS on the map) held in various geological settings proved the ability of the technology to successfully complement 2D CDP towed streamer data by enhancing the quality of seismic image in areas typically dimly imaged by CDP seismic. FloatSeis™ performs especially well in the areas with steep dips, intense multiples contamination and zones with low velocities covered by high-velocity formations, that for example can be helpful for imaging of syn-rift plays underneath solidified flood basalt layers (traps) and sub-salt formations. To improve penetration abilities of the signal (beneficial for better imaging of deep strata) and expand presence of low frequency component in the dataset (guaranties better resolution and finer solution of the FWI) – GWL Low Frequency Source™ application is recommended.
